20 Mar 2024

As we look forward into 2024 we would like to express our gratitude to you, our community, for your incredible support. Together we continue to make a lifetime of difference by ensuring the accessibility of Play Therapy for children who have experienced trauma. We have launched some wonderful fundraising activities like our Golf Charity Day and Trivia Night – so please get involved if you can to help more children get the support they need to heal.

As we welcome our new CEO, Tania Taylor on board, we also reflect on our 2023 milestones and impact outlined in our Annual Report. We’re also excited to extend our reach with new group programs.

We are excited to share our 2023 Annual Report with you all.  Be Centre has achieved some amazing results this past year, some of these include – conducting over 2000 play-therapy sessions, and close to 300 parent support sessions, we’ve had over 60 volunteers help us out with hours of service and received $146K in in-kind goods or services.

With the ongoing support of our corporate partners, individuals, and volunteers we aim to continue to extend our reach into the community. Read more about our successes in the Annual Report here. DID YOU KNOW?

TWO NEW GROUP THERAPY PROGRAMS HAVE STARTED

We’ve launched two new group therapy programs in our new group room! Through generous funding to create and deliver these programs from the Sydney North Health Network (SNHN) and the Ministry of Health and the Department of Health, we have now been able to add another ~30 children a week to the number of those who receive therapeutic support. The programs focusing around navigating challenges ‘Seasons for Growth’ and ‘Group Art Therapy’ have been very well received. Read more here.

Enrolments are currently open for ‘Seasons for Growth’ so please connect if you feel this program may support your child.

THANKS AND HUGS!
