Programs for Parents
Play Therapy is often more effective when a parent/carer is involved and supported. We have developed a number of programs with this in mind, each focused on a different topic. All our programs are run by experienced parent counsellors and aim to build trust and understanding between parents/carers and the kids they’re supporting. The programs are held either on a one-to-one basis or in a group format.
Our Parent Support Service offers counselling sessions for parents and caregivers, available either in person or via telehealth. Sessions can be attended individually or as a couple, allowing you to choose what best supports you and your family's needs. These sessions provide a confidential and supportive space to share experiences, discuss concerns, and explore any challenges that may arise throughout the parenting journey.
As part of our Play Therapy Program, families can access up to six Parent Support sessions at no additional cost. As a Children's Mental Health Charity, we recognise and value the essential role that parents and caregivers play in their child's therapeutic journey and overall wellbeing.
If you are interested in accessing this service, please let the Parent Support Team know. We would be happy to arrange an initial conversation to explore how we can best support you and your family.
