MAKING A DIFFERENCE

800+ THERAPEUTIC PLAY BAGS ARRIVED TO SMILING FACES

Last week, with generous support from funders, we provided four regional schools with therapeutic play bags to help the children heal and ‘play out’ their experiences from recent natural disaster trauma. Schools in the Northern Rivers received flood-focused sensory bags and schools in the Snowy Region received bushfire-focused bags. Thank you CommBank, Hasbro, Macdoch Australia, and NAB (bushfire) for funding these initiatives. See further information and feedback from a parent here.

YOU CAN HELP
If you would like to support this project you can do so by donating here or please connect with us to discuss options. More information is available about the ‘Need to Play’ here.

DID YOU KNOW?

YOU HAVE ACCESS TO A NEW FREE ONLINE SHORT COURSE ‘NEED TO PLAY’

We’ve launched a 45-min online course called ‘Need to Play.’ It has been developed for parents/carers providing the reasons why play is so important for children, and has lots of tips and activities that can be implemented immediately and used over the holidays.

The course is designed to motivate you to incorporate play into your world and your child’s every day. Play can literally rewire a child’s brain and help them to overcome even the most difficult life experiences. See more at www.BeCentreAcademy.org.au. Funding for the online course was generously supported by the NAB Foundation.

THANKS AND HUGS!
