Be Centre is delighted to announce the resounding success of its annual ‘Dancing in the Rain’ Charity Gala, held at the elegant Manly Pacific on the evening of September 1st. This heartwarming event, attended by 220 guests, was a powerful testament to the unwavering support for Be Centre’s mission to help foster the emotional well-being of children.

The evening began as brave 6-year-old Sonny Simms delivered a heartfelt, Welcome to Country, reminding us all the importance of unity and care for our community’s most vulnerable members.

The Gala featured a lineup of exceptional speakers, including Founder Deborah Killelea, and Michelle Carlyle, CEO of Be Centre. Their heartfelt messages resonated with attendees, emphasizing the vital importance of Be Centre’s mission.  Ali Moore, a distinguished journalist, skillfully guided the evening’s proceedings as MC, while Lochie Daddo entertained as the auctioneer, adding charm, charisma & excitement to the event’s fundraising efforts.  Entertainment was provided by ‘Dancing in the Shadows of Motown’ whose soulful performance kept guests on their feet throughout the night.

The event was organized by the dedicated fundraising team led by fundraising manager, Christina Rooney and Event manager Kimberley Dales.

The success of the ‘Dancing in the Rain’ annual Charity Gala was made possible by the generosity of prize donors, the dedication of volunteers, and the wholehearted, unwavering support of everyone in attendance. Be Centre extends its sincere gratitude to all who played a part in this memorable evening, helping raise essential funds to support the Be Centre Foundation. With the funds raised, Be Centre will continue its crucial work in transforming the lives of children and their families, ensuring that they have the support and resources they need to thrive emotionally and psychologically.
