Our wishlist: 

$170 (Unlimited) Play Therapy Session: Even one supported Play Therapy session will make a difference to a disadvantaged child who is experiencing difficulties.

$250 (x 6 available) Play Equipment and Creative Arts supplies for Play Rooms: As you can appreciate with the large number of children who use our Play Therapy rooms each week we are constantly having to replace, refresh and upgrade our equipment as well as top up on a daily basis our art and craft supplies … slime making is one of the most popular activities within the rooms!

$500 (x 2 available) Therapeutic Resources:  Children’s therapeutic story books, parenting books, protective behaviours resources. Therapeutic stories are a powerful and engaging way to communicate with children on a range of issues. We are building our collection of therapeutic resources which parents and children can borrow.

$1,000 (x 2 available) Sensory Play Kits: Children in trauma often need sensory input to help them regulate their emotions and behaviour. Your generous support would help us put together specialist sensory kits for each of our therapists to use with those children needing additional sensory input during their Play Therapy sessions. Each kit would have specially selected therapeutic toys and items which engage the child’s senses and calm their nervous systems.

$2,000 (unlimited available) 12 Week Play Therapy Scholarship: Provide a child whose family are experiencing financial hardship and who otherwise could not afford to access vital therapeutic support for a 12 week Play Therapy Program.

We receive no government funding and rely solely on the generosity of the community along with caring individuals and companies to ensure we can provide children experiencing difficulties with the skills and resilience they need to create brighter prospects for the future and ensure that problems don’t become more complex and entrenched.

The proceeds from our Twinkle Twinkle Gala Fundraising Dinner will assist us in employing additional Play Therapists so that we can reach our goal to reduce the time children need to wait for help.
