Your swash buckling host for the night is Simon Reeve, popular 7’s Weekend Sunrise presenter and Be Centre Ambassador. 

Expect a night of energetic dancing and island inspired entertainment from popular party band Uptown Funk.

Get into the vibe of the night – black tie dress with a touch of Caribbean Magic, whilst you enjoy a gourmet three course dinner including fine wines. Fundraising activities on the night wili include amazing silent and live auctions, raffle and much more. All funds raised on the night will help us support more children in difficulty.

To help meet the ever increasing need for our services we recently moved to larger premises – this was a huge leap of faith for Be Centre and we now need to meet the financial challenge ahead so we can continue to grow.

The proceeds from “Caribbean Magic” Gala Fundraising Dinner will help Be Centre to increase the capacity of their core one to one Play Therapy program so that we can decrease our current wait list of over 100 children and see more children than ever before.

Our wish list:

$170 Unlimited Play Therapy Session. Even one supported session will make a difference to a disadvantaged child.

$250 x6 Equipment and creative arts supplies for the Play Rooms. We have recently increased the number of playrooms in our new centre to six – this means we are now using twice as much paint, clay, glue, paper and glitter! Each child has their favourite things they like to do. Your help in keeping up the supplies is greatly appreciated.

$600 x1 Sponsor an artist to conduct two holiday workshops including sensory based “Messy Art”.  These holiday programs are a great outlet for the children to come and have some fun – they love the messy art which provides the children with much needed sensory.

$1,750 x2 A new computer to help improve productivity within the office. With more rooms we can employ more Play Therapists and interns and have space for more volunteers to help – we urgently need more computers to ensure that they can all access files and record session notes etc.

$2,500 x6 12 week Play Therapy program for a child whose family is in financial crisis.

$5,000 x1 Audio and video equipment for our new observation room for research and training purposes. This equipment will help us provide the best possible training for new play therapists as well as assist in research and also be used with parents to observe children’s play.
